The Magic Skoolie

My first question before arriving was will the skoolie be comfortable in the hot temperatures (104-108). I did not receive an answer. However, experience shows that know it is not comfortable. At 4 o’clock this afternoon, the temperature inside was 100.Once inside on the first night, we found the smell of sewer gas overwhelming. Despite emptying the black tank of waste water and putting various tank treatments into the toilet, the sewer gas smell remains. The owners of the skoolie,, Hector and Luz, were very, very nice. This is really cute idea and the site is an interesting work in progress. I would only recommend staying here in spring and fall at the most. And communication with the manager was terrible. Every question I had was answered with a ridiculous stock email, which did not address the questions.

Memorable Positive: It’s my dream to stay in something like this a school bus I feel like I’m camping. Negative: None so far

Positive: Very original and well done set up, perfect if your kids love the busses and the idea to sleep on it

This was the a great stay for us as a home base for our travels to the national parks, Sequoia, Kings Canyon, Pinnacles and Yosemite. Coming back to the skoolie after a day of hiking was just icing on the cake. It was a great experience.
